“whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely” [Revelation 22:17]

“whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely”. We recognise the Bible as the written Word of God conveying to man the great rescue operation that the Lord put in hand to counter the Fall. It is an exercise that is seen to engage the Almighty in the affairs of men throughout the whole of history. It involved the sending of His Son Jesus and exacted a price no less than the sacrifice of His life upon the Cross of Calvary. That God should suffer and die is beyond our understanding yet gloriously true.
The benefits of the great salvation thus purchased lift man to a far higher plane than Adam ever knew. It is now an eternal redemption. Not least in its wonder is that here at the end of the Bible whoever will is invited to take this ‘water of life’ freely. They must be fools or blind who decline to do so.
