“Why do we need any more testimony? ” [Luke 22:71(NIV)]

“Why do we need any more testimony? “. If power is in the hands of those whose minds are made up, no further evidence is needed. The elders of the people, the chief priests and the scribes, decided that Jesus of Nazareth was safe enough in their custody for some sort of case to be fabricated against Him.
Now they sought to incite the crowd to give them a mandate to seal their heinous crime in taking the case to Pilate the governor and demanding the death sentence. How could human injustice sink so low? Has man no love for his brother? These questions should be being asked today. But, out of the shame of the crucifixion of the Son of God has arisen a great tidal wave of testimony and evidence from those who have believed. Their testimony is that truly this is the Son of God.
