“All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth” [Matthew 28:18]

“All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth”. We need to ever remember that Jesus is Lord and Sovereign. Though He controls and influences everything, in this day of grace He builds His kingdom by invitation. It is a gospel invitation given to whoever will come.
The all-powerful Lord of glory gives us free-will to choose to accept or reject. No-one will enter heaven who does not want to be there, and no-one will be there in heaven who has not met Jesus in this life.
Furthermore, He works by love and we love Him because He loved us. So all who are in heaven will love Jesus. There will be none who meet Him at heaven’s door for the first time. All powerful to keep; all loving and gentle to care!
