‘Do not be afraid of sudden terror’ [Proverbs 3:25 (RAV)]

‘Do not be afraid of sudden terror’. If we use the God-given gifts of sound wisdom and discretion we may ask Him for wisdom in conducting our lives. Those who do so will walk safely, their foot will not stumble. They will lie down and not be afraid. Their sleep will be sweet and uninterrupted.
Sudden calamity may come but it will not cause terror. Trouble can be unpleasant but it need not disturb the deep peace that trust in the Lord gives.
Trust in the Lord makes the Lord your confidence. He triumphed and by His grace, so will you. He never fails though our failure to understand makes it necessary for us to trust where we cannot see.
When terror does strike, those who walk with the Lord in the noonday can have confidence in Him in the dark night.
