“he called her to him” [Luke 13:12]

“he called her to him”. She may never have dared to approach Jesus herself: the nature of her infirmity caused her to be judged unwholesome. However, she was found in the synagogue and probably had desires for godliness at least equal to other worshippers.
Her condition – a curved spine – attracted the attention of Jesus and made Him want to do something for her.
Jesus knew her thoughts and did not need to ask what she wanted, but just told her she was to be healed, laid His hands upon her and she was made straight.
Jesus knows about us and His invitation to us all is to come to Him. Like this woman in the synagogue, when we come, we express our need and accept His healing.
