“I have placed my cause in your hands” [Jeremiah 20:12(GNB)]

“I have placed my cause in your hands”. Jeremiah has been called the weeping prophet but could equally well be described as suffering and brave!
He was ridiculed and scorned so much because he spoke God’s message to the people, that at one point he said he was going to cease. But God’s message was like a fire burning within him and he could not keep quiet.
The authorities tried to trick him and trap him and even his close friends waited for his downfall. But Jeremiah had found the secret of survival and of ultimate success – placing the matter in the Lord’s hands. He knew that the Lord was on his side and that those who persecuted him would fall.
All who take their stand for the Lord and His truth today can know the same.
