“If anyone wants to boast” [Jeremiah 9:24(GNB)]

“If anyone wants to boast”. Some people do seem to enjoy boasting. In many different areas we may obtain a sense of achievement. Yet the temptation to boast about our achievements is something we do well to resist in every area except one.
The prophet Jeremiah is talking about boasting that we know the Lord and feel His constant love.
The Apostle Paul said that the only thing in which he would glory was the cross of Christ, the sign of the salvation that he experienced and preached.
Wise men should not boast of their wisdom nor strong men of their strength nor rich men of their wealth. Those who see the Lord and receive His forgiveness and mercy can boast in the Lord and His goodness to them.
