“let not your hands be weak” [II Chronicles 15:7]

June 3

“let not your hands be weak”. These words are part of the prophesy of Azariah spoken to King Asa. They were days when ‘there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in’. In a world of war, disease and sorrow we are tempted to say, ‘There is nothing I can do’. But any such feelings must not be acceded to. Weak hands can make you the weak link in a chain.
The Lord Who gives strength to the weak expects you to lift up those weak hands in faith knowing that His strength is made in perfect in weakness.
In the Lord you shall do exploits. There is an anointing whereby He places His hands upon yours. The One Who creates men out of dust can empower them by His Spirit so that no hands need ever hang limply to the side.
