“Seek the Lord while he may be found, Call upon him while he is near” [Isaiah 55:6(RAV)]

“Seek the Lord while he may be found, Call upon him while he is near”. Now is the accepted time. A day may come when God cannot be found. Remember Esau who for a morsel sold his birthright and afterward when he would have inherited the blessing was rejected, though he sought it with tears.
The verse also tells us we must seek and call. We seek by attending to our ways, by our manner of life and by repenting of sin in our hearts: it means leaving no area undisturbed as we use every means to find Him.
We call when we believe He is there though we cannot see Him. We call to attract His attention and draw on His mercy.
Paul told his hearers in Athens that God is not far from any one of us. In the affairs of this day God is near, waiting for us to seek and call.
