“Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” [John 3:3]
January 13
“Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God”. Natural birth only carries a lease for duration of life on earth. No one born into this world has any entitlement to life beyond the grave. Only God has immortality. Man forfeited any hope of qualifying or earning any extension of life when Adam fell in the Garden of Eden.
God’s heavenly kingdom is real and many count themselves citizens of it. That citizenship is as a result of a new birth. It is so important that Jesus interrupted Nicodemus at the very outset of their conversation to enlighten him about it.
That new birth is not something man can generate of himself. It is a re-creation of the Holy Spirit. He cannot earn it but he can and must ask the Lord for a new birth, a vision of His Kingdom and the gift of eternal life.[/sayit
