“So they all praised the Lord” [I Chronicles 29:20(NIV)]

“So they all praised the Lord”. Did you hear the story about the man who shouted ‘Praise the Lord’ in a church where everyone always sat quietly? A steward tapped his arm and whispered, ‘We don’t do that here, Sir’!
But they did it in David’s day – every one of them. Of course, they had 150 published psalms, and others beside and their spiritual leader was known to dance before the Lord with all his might. He also advocated clapping hands and using all kinds of musical instruments in worship.
And when he said to the assembly, ‘Praise the Lord your God’ that’s what they all did. It must have been an uplifting experience to have been among their number. But ‘praise the Lord’ folk like this are still around. So praise the Lord and be counted as one of them.
