“The Lord is at your right hand” [Psalm 110:5(RSV)]

“The Lord is at your right hand”. The shepherd on the Judean hillside may have little in common with the computer technician. But while the age is different and the demands more exacting, some things do not change. Especially is this so in the Lord’s ability and readiness to meet man’s need.
Such is the assurance in this verse. The Lord does not remove the pressure always – more often He gives an awareness of His Presence alongside, supporting and strengthening you.
He is as indignant at the godlessness of men as the disciple is. Repeatedly His Word speaks of the day of His wrath. Justice can only be ascribed to the final outcome. Until then be comforted to know that the Lord is at your right hand.
