<p><b>“the whole city came out to meet Jesus”. </b> At first it appeared a full-scale revival whereas it turned out to be a wholesale rejection. The incident teaches us not to count heads but hearts.
The embassage that came to Jesus was to ask Him to leave, not to welcome His miraculous life changing ministry.
The way of life of these men was threatened. Their pigs were of more value than the poor madman who lived in the tombs. No wonder the healed demoniac offered to leave their mercenary company and join Jesus and His disciples. But Jesus sent him home. So the Demoniac of Gadara began a ministry in his home town and among those who had, to a man, rejected Jesus.
Jesus still sends His disciples to homes where He is rejected. Count it an honour if you’re one so called.</p>
