“What gives life is God’s Spirit”. Not enthusiasm – the best of which may wane and disappear according to the strength of the opposition or feelings of the individual.
Not learning – this might make a theologian but not a Spirit-filled Christian.
Not science – continually being updated yet never touching the spiritual aspect.
Not earning – as though any good that a man or woman may do can court God’s free gift.
But the Holy Spirit, Third Person of the Trinity; promised by Jesus and given by God the Father on the Day of Pentecost. The essential Person of the Godhead in every new birth experience. Bountiful distributor of gifts as and to whom He will. It is to the Holy Spirit we look for new life.
