“you obeyed from the heart” [Romans 6:17(RAV)]

“you obeyed from the heart”. Servants must obey and it is very important whom they obey. Of second importance is whether they obey from the heart.
If someone else put you up to ‘being a Christian’ or if you were in any way coerced into it, your service may not last for long and will certainly not be worth much.
When a man or woman sees just what God in Christ did for them and the extent to which He has gone to make this revelation known to them, the matter touches their heart.
It is from the very centre of their being that they are moved.
Then if the love they feel for their Lord is translated into service, you see obedience from the heart. Serving Him because you love Him is the best service of all.
