“Go your way” [Mark 10:52(RAV)]

“Go your way”. We are not told where Bartimaeus went after Jesus had healed him. Whatever he did, it was his own thing – Jesus called it, ‘your way’. The Lord did not want Bartimaeus to live the life of someone else. He would mix with people who would marvel at his experience, but he was to be himself. It may have been back to the old way he knew before he became blind, but this became a new way now he had met Jesus. That made the difference.
Has your way become God’s way? It won’t until you take the Lord into it. Your way extends to every department in life and it is in every department you need to admit the Lord.
You would expect Bartimaeus to ever be telling about so dramatic an experience. But is your salvation any less?
