“the prize for which God has called me” [Philippians 3:14(NIV)]

“the prize for which God has called me”. The prize before the eyes of the disciple of Jesus is the high calling of God in Christ. God sent His Son to be the Saviour of the World. He died for our sins. He will justify the ungodly who repent and when justified by faith there is no longer any condemnation in the sight of God. He calls the repentant sinner to be seated in heavenly places in Christ. Human language cannot express nor mortal heart conceive the glory that awaits those who love Jesus.
Now with such a prize awaiting all who run the Christian race, a clear sight of it must stimulate us to press hard towards it: run with patience as we wait for it and then begin to rejoice in the glory that awaits.
