“for great is the glory of the Lord” [Psalm 138:5]

“for great is the glory of the Lord”. The glory of the Lord is seen in the splendour that surrounds His throne – a glory only seen by mortal eye in vision or dream. Something of that glory shone through the Lord Jesus on the Mt. of Transfiguration. The Apostle John in his Gospel says, ‘We beheld his glory’. All of us can experience His glory in His lovingkindness and truth that come to us through His Word. Our hearts respond in praise to His glory when He answers our prayer and strengthens our soul.
The Psalmist speaks of the day when kings of the earth shall praise the Lord. The Book of Revelation speaks of those casting their crowns before His glory, but it is when you experience the living Jesus in your heart that you begin to realise the greatness of His glory.
