“I will do whatever you say” [Ruth 3:5(NIV)]

<b>“I will do whatever you say”. </b> Naomi was a godly woman who suffered great personal sorrow and loss and in the process of time her loss was compensated by one of her daughters-in-law, Ruth.  Ruth shone because of her unwavering devotion to Naomi. She chose caring for Naomi before going back to her own people and then when getting settled in the land of Judah, laid great store by her mother-in-law’s counsel.

In no way do you have to do what others say – counsel and guidance is often contradictory, anyway. But when you recognise wise words you do well to heed them. This means listening to the request of others.  Few of us can have wiser words than Ruth received. Her obedience gained her acceptance in Israel, a husband and a family and a place in the Messianic line.
