“neither cold nor hot” [Revelation 3:15]

“neither cold nor hot”. Lukewarm! Trying to be hot and cold at the same time, but succeeding only in making an insipid mixture admired by no one. This is the Spirit’s complaint about the church in Laodicea and it is the Spirit’s complaint about many today.
In test cricket there is a second innings when the batsmen can hope to make good any failure in the first: in life there is only one. You will not live today again and yesterday is gone for ever.
The Lord deserves all our devotion and dedication. Half-heartedness is the bane of advance. The Church of Jesus Christ is built upon dedicated apostles and prophets who gave themselves wholeheartedly to the Lord.
Presenting your body a living sacrifice is something everyone can do. Those who blaze a trail must be on fire!
