“perfect peace” [Isaiah 26:3]

“perfect peace”. Uninterrupted, undisturbed and unaffected by the bedlam that may be going on around; concerned but not conquered by events they behold; this describes perfect peace.
This verse gives the answer and the key – their mind is stayed on the Lord because their trust is in Him. As a result they are not afraid of the terror by night or the arrows of the evil one by day. They are sheltering under the wings of the Almighty – where safer could they be!
When it is from the Lord that your strength is drawn, you have a living stream that will not dry up.
Perfect peace has a present and a future. If it could ever be lost at a future time it would not be perfect.
Draw near to Jesus for it is the Lord who keeps His children in perfect peace. [AP]
