“See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness” Those who have the light should see that it is shining.
The entrance of God’s word gives light. Jesus is the Light of the World and calls disciples to be lights in the world.
That light shines out through lives that are changed by sin forgiven, peace with God and joy in the Holy Spirit.
There is no greater light than found in God through Christ and no greater disappointment when it is obscured by the dirty glass of human weakness. Jesus said that the eye is the light of the body and we need to look upon the good, pure and wholesome things of the Lord – to always look to Jesus. Have you checked your light today? Do friends and neighbours, work-mates and all whose lives you affect see Christ shining in you? It is the light they look for and light they need.
