“the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power” [Revelation 15:8]
January 17
“the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power”. This is vastly different from the Temple area on earth when Jesus visited it and found it a den of thieves and echoing with the rattle of money rather than prayer.
It is a picture of what every sanctuary should be. No use consecrating a building if the glory of the Lord will not be there.
When Solomon’s temple was dedicated, the glory of God so filled it that administration was brought to a standstill.
It is not how large the building is that is important, but whether the glory of the Lord fills it.
We know that the body of the believer is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Every believer needs to ensure that His praise fills the Temple and that worship conducted in it is Spirit led.
