“We’ll go with you” [John 21:3(NIV)]

“We’ll go with you”. When an opportunity to go arises it is not enough to ask where they are going and why, but whether you should go.
Was Peter needing a break from the excitement and trauma of recent days when he decided to go fishing? Was it right that he should return to the work from which God had called him?
Whatever the answers, Peter took others with him. They all fished in vain and Jesus appeared to them. Dejected and very dissatisfied, Jesus transformed things and sent them forward with a renewed vision.
To go with others is not enough. Our comings and goings should be ordered by the Lord. And if and when we do have an experience of failure, it is then the Lord is likely to come to our aid.
