“you do not know how miserable and pitiful you are! ” [Revelation 3:17(GNB)]

“you do not know how miserable and pitiful you are! “. The church in Laodicea thought it was all right when in fact it was very spiritually sick. This wrong assessment arose from counting earthly instead of spiritual values. They failed to be spiritually minded and led by the Spirit.
Miserable and pitiful is the true state of those who
– only have what they can touch or see
– do not know answered prayer because they do not pray
– never play a part in winning souls for Christ
– take the name but not the power of the gospel
– pretend to be what they know they are not
– could in no way be said to be living for Jesus.
When awakened to our true state we can do something about it.
