“a new song” [Revelation 14:3]

March 15

p>“a new song”. The wise man in Ecclesiastes wrote that there is nothing new under the sun – knowing this saves a lot of running ‘to and fro’ after every so-called ‘new’ thing.
But he was not conversant with the Psalmist who spoke of a new song in his mouth, even praise to the Lord. Neither did he know that the glorified Saviour was to stand in the final chapter of the Book and say, ‘Behold I make all things new’.
Those described in this chapter stood upon Mount Zion with the Father’s name in their foreheads. The rudiments of that new song, known only by the redeemed, took shape on earth. ‘Born anew’ means born in a manner that will never die. The knowledge of this coupled with sin forgiven starts a song of never-ending joy. You can catch bits of it now!
