“God our Saviour” [I Timothy 2:3]

“God our Saviour”. The most wonderful revelation about God is that He became our Saviour. God is far greater than we can picture or imagine, yet the Bible says that He is not far from any one of us. To save us He needed to stoop right down to where we were. Love was the motivating force that made Him do this – “God loved the world so much” the Bible says.
After His atoning death, Jesus descended into hell and preached to the spirits in prison that none need perish but all may be saved if they will believe. Better than realising He is God our Saviour is to be able to say, “God who saved me”.
He did not save Himself, but died for us that whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
