“make clean the outside” [Luke 11:39]

“make clean the outside”. Clean outside is good for appearance, but it is the state of things inside that makes for impression. When God wants to see what you are like He looks at the heart.
It was in order to cleanse the heart from sin that Jesus took our punishment and died on the cross.
It is the blood of God’s Son that cleanses from all sin. Once renewed inside, the outside begins to reflect the change.
Educate before you convert and you can get polished dirt. True reformation starts with a change within.
If the outside will change anyway, let top priority be the inner cleansing for this day.
