“now therefore” [Joshua 1:2]

“now therefore”. Recognition of God’s blessing in the past enables a man or woman to face the future with confidence and to step forward in His Name.
Our ‘now’ must be governed by a ‘therefore’ that takes account of what God has done in the past. Joshua taking over what Moses was doing can better be described as God continuing in Joshua what He began in Moses and expanding it.
God will use your life past to enrich your experience of Him now. He has not suddenly stumbled across you. His attention and care dates from your mother’s womb. It will make all the difference in your arising and going over into your Promised Land if you are aware of what God has done for you in past days.
