“So you also must be ready” [Matthew 24:44(NIV)]

“So you also must be ready”. A day is coming when Jesus will return. Repeatedly we read of this in the New Testament. Jesus said He was coming back and the disciples preached this truth. After two thousand years it is a promise nearer fulfilment than ever. No one knows when it will be and therefore all who love the Lord need to be ready. Readiness is seen in a number of ways.
Not pre-occupied with unnecessary hindrances.
Not engaging in shameful practices.
Not sleeping spiritually.
Shining brightly in the darkness around you.
Resisting the attractions and temptations of the Evil One.
Bearing a good and attractive testimony.
Join the waiting and watching ones – be also ready.
