“The Lord needs it” [Luke 19:31(NIV)]

“The Lord needs it”. Whether by prior arrangement or not, this colt was available for the Lord to use and bring glory to God as He rode into Jerusalem. It provided more than a means of transport and served to illustrate the servant-hood of Christ. It had never been ridden before but bore the Lord of glory to a cross of shame. It belonged to another but carried the Saviour of the world to redeem mankind from sin and death. It was untied so that it could take the weight of the One who would set people free. If a lowly colt is able to serve the Lord in this way, how much more can we bring glory to Jesus if we remain available for Him to use as He has need?
