“he walked on the water, to go to Jesus” [Matthew 14:29]
April 16
“he walked on the water, to go to Jesus”. Very spectacular! But his walking on the water was short-lived and soon ended in beginning to sink.
We may not get the chance to show our trust in Jesus as Peter did when the Lord said to him “Come.” Yet we all are called to be followers in the routine of everyday life.
We can choose to look at wind and waves around us: if we do this we take our eyes off Jesus and begin to sink.
Any step towards Jesus is a blessed one. He wants to come and be with us in all that we do.
Walking on the water even at Jesus’ invitation is not as easy as it might seem!
It is walking over all difficulties and opposition with eyes fixed on Jesus that avoids the embarrassment of sinking.
