“my people have forgotten me” [Jeremiah 18:15(NIV)]

<b>“my people have forgotten me”.</b>  The People of Israel repeatedly turned away from the Lord. The same easily happens when God blesses and it may easily happen to us. As we read elsewhere “Let him that stands take heed, lest he fall!”

God’s blessings can make us complacent so we forsake the worship and service of the Lord. If God gave us all we asked, how many of us would sit back and do nothing, however good our resolve to do otherwise at the time.

The trials that the people of the Lord had to face were the best medicine for them. So often, we call upon God when we are in need and then find no need to pray when the emergency is past. If we know the danger we may avoid the pitfall. See how Israel forsook God and resolve that by God’s grace you and your house will serve the Lord.
